How to find your Wi-Fi password
On the router
Most routers have a sticker with the network name (SSID) and password (key). If you've changed the password since, the sticker won't match.
On a device that's already connected
- iPhone/iPad: Settings → Wi-Fi → tap ⓘ next to your network → tap Password.
- Android: Settings → Network & internet → Internet (or Wi-Fi) → tap your network → Share. It shows a QR code, and usually the password.
- Windows 11: Settings → Network & internet → Wi-Fi → Manage known networks → your network → View Wi-Fi security key.
- Mac: System Settings → Wi-Fi → ⋯ next to your network → Copy Password (newer macOS), or look it up in Keychain Access.
Share without typing
iPhones can share Wi-Fi with a nearby iPhone automatically. Android's QR code can be scanned by any phone's camera.
Still stuck?
Log in to your router's app or settings page, or your provider's app, to see or change it.
