Internet Troubleshooting and Wiring Cleanup
Client contacted me about poor wifi quality, this lead to relocating their modem into a central part of the house, and tidying up their wiring in the process.
The client mentioned that their wifi has always been spotty, especially on their upper floor. Their wireless modem/router combo had been placed in the basement, causing interference and a weak signal.
After further discussion, we ended up putting a switch in the basement to allow all of the wired ethernet ports in their house to work at any time they need, along with moving their modem to an open space on the main floor.
After moving the modem, the wifi started working better across the whole home, and their kids were also able to hard wire their gaming devices in their room for a low latency experience.
